Your key responsibilities as the Assistant Bar Manager will consist of:
– To support the General Manager in managing clients, residents only, bar and catering facilities across multiple sites open 7 days a week, event / hospitality business
– To support the management of the day to day relationship with the client and residents and other stakeholders
– To receive and act upon feedback from residents ensuring we offer the best possible service
– To inspire the team to deliver an excellent, innovative food and beverage offer across the estate
– Ensure all legal H&S and company policies are up to date and completed
– To support the General Manager in managing operating costs in line with the client’s requirements
– Working closely with the head chef to ensure a smooth-running food operation
To carry out all reasonable tasks expected by management
Working Pattern: 5 out of 7, Evening and weekend shifts
The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Assistant Bar Manager include:
– Restaurant and bar experience in a commercial environment, events and hospitality
– Personal license holder / DPS experience desirable
– Good at planning ahead and able to look at multiple options to help a final well-informed decision
– Positive, polite and realistic
– Must be friendly, a great team player, excellent communicator, fun, enthusiastic and professional at all times
– Able to prioritise and work under pressure
– Computer literacy
– Enthusiasm for the industry, passion for food and understanding of the changing industry, good knowledge of food trends
– Driven self-starter who will relish this challenge
– Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required
