Last week we visited Great Ormond Street Hospital School (GOSH).
Robert Kirby, Chef Director at Lexington, and Jon Lilley, Executive Chef at Lexington, met some of the children in the ward and then held a session for a group of 12 children in the school.
The children heard about different foods and got the chance to decorate a chocolate brownie, make their own sponge cake, and prepare a healthy pasta salad for lunch.
Rob said, “I absolutely love visiting the children in Great Ormond Street. Our aim is to ensure the children have fun, while gaining the knowledge and skills to decorate cakes and make a healthy lunch.
“It’s fantastic to see how food transforms them out of their environment and gives them something positive to focus on.”
