Respecting clients, colleagues, suppliers and the planet is one of our values.
We are constantly driving our environmental initiatives forward to protect the health of our planet. We work closely with our clients, suppliers and customers to look for ways to reduce waste.
We have a team of Environmental Champions who are responsible for driving forward Lexington’s bespoke Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
They have inspired and engaged our team, clients and customers about environmental management and making positive change to reduce their impact on the environment. As a result we have reduced food waste, electricity and water consumption and seen a huge increase in recycling.
We are accredited with the Environmental Management System ISO14001, which ensures we monitor our impact on the environment and apply initiatives to reduce any adverse effects.
We work alongside industry bodies such as WRAP and Food Alert who assist us to ensure our systems are safe, robust and workable.
Lexington is supporting Water Unite, a non-profit organisation whose vision is a world where everyone has access to clean, safe water and decent sanitation and lives free from waste pollution. For every bottle or can of water that is sold a donation is made to Water Unite.
This initiative will directly improve plastic recycling in some of the world’s poorest communities, raising money for long-lasting educational and practical initiatives.
As caterers we feel that we have responsibility to help beat food waste. Alongside various technology solutions and food packaging innovations we have introduced TRASHED, our very own award-winning low waste food concept.
TRASHED focuses on creating delicious dishes, utilising sustainable breeds and cuts of underused meats and vegetables that generally end up being thrown away.
