What you’ll be doing…
As a Data Migration Specialist, you’ll be responsible for planning, executing, and validating the transfer of data between systems. Working closely with technical and business teams, you’ll ensure accurate, secure, and efficient migration of data, supporting the delivery of digital transformation or system integration projects.
- Plan and manage end-to-end data migration activities
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data between legacy and target systems
- Work with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure data quality
- Perform data cleansing and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Develop migration scripts, workflows, and documentation
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve data-related errors during testing and live migration
- Collaborate with IT, project managers, and business units to ensure smooth execution
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and governance standards
What can you bring?
- Proven experience in data migration, ETL processes, or database management
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with tools like SSIS, Informatica, or Talend
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines
- Good understanding of data governance and compliance standards (e.g. GDPR)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience working on ERP, CRM, or cloud system migrations is desirable
