Mike Sunley, Chief Executive
Mike Sunley, Chief Executive

Mike founded Lexington in 2002, having a desire to form a business that put food and people right back at the heart of the organisation. He leads an experienced team who love delivering exceptional food and service.

Before setting up Lexington Mike was a board Director for Avenance with responsibility for 130 contracts in London.

In 2013 Mike won a Catey Award for Foodservice Caterer of the Year – he has created an award-winning business and community where people have fun and enjoy what they do.

He believes business leaders should do their bit to improve the outlook for Britain’s young talent and invests a lot of time to support future careers, which led to the launch of Lex School of Talent in 2011.

Julia Edmonds, Managing Director
Julia Edmonds, Managing Director

Having joined Lexington Catering in 2007 as Sales and Marketing Director, Julia was appointed as Managing Director in 2010.

She plays a central role in embedding core values and influencing and driving business strategy. With a strong background in sales and operational management spanning almost twenty years, Julia is responsible for leading sales and operations and driving growth across London and the South East.

Prior to Lexington, Julia worked for Compass Group for five years as Business Development Manager for operating companies Restaurant Associates and Baxter and Platts.

Julia says, “The best part of my job is definitely the people – from our clients to the Lexy team, it’s wonderful to work with such inspiring people.”

Rob Kirby, Chef Director
Rob Kirby, Chef Director

With over 30 years of cooking experience, having worked in the finest hotels and restaurants in the UK and abroad, Rob ensures that great food remains at the very heart of Lexington. He works with the Lexy team to deliver fresh, simple, seasonal and tasty well-sourced dishes.

Winner of the first 2013 Foodservice Catey’s for ‘Chef of the Year’, Rob regularly appears on BBC television and radio showing the nation how to cook. He is also an award-winning author of ‘Cook with Kids’ and ‘The Family Kitchen’ and shared the royalties with The Children’s Hospital School at Great Ormond Street.

He believes food can bring lots of fun and enjoyment to people and works with schools to inspire young people to spend more time in the kitchen. In 2011, he partnered with the University of West London and Springboard UK, to design a two year Lexington apprenticeship programme, Lex School of Talent.

David Brown, Operations Director
David Brown, Operations Director

David joined Lexington in September 2010 after two and a half years as Director of Catering, for an independent FM Company, managing the Sales and Operations teams.

He started his career as a chef and then moved into front of house with Anchor Hotels and Taverns. In the 1980’s he moved into the contract catering sector.

At Lexington, he delivers change and improvements in all areas of catering, with a clear focus on food and service provision to the highest standard. He has a strong track record of gaining, mobilising and growing new client relationships profitably.

Katharine Lewis, Director
Katharine Lewis, Director

Katharine is one of the co-founders of Lexington. She plays a key role in leading our approach to talent management creating a great place to work, where people can achieve their potential. Katharine leads our graduate programme and promotes our involvement with Springboard.

Katharine has over 20 years’ experience working with high profile clients, she also provides senior direction within operations working closely with our team and our clients to deliver delicious food and great service to our customers.

While at High Table Katharine also gained a ‘Caterer’ Acorn Award and now champions our rising stars at Lexington to follow in her footsteps.

Rachel Lindner, Director
Rachel Lindner, Director

Rachel is one of the co-founders of Lexington and is responsible for Operations and CSR activities. She has worked in the hospitality industry for almost 30 years, with a background in running commercial hotels and restaurants.

Rachel has directed small and large teams across a broad range of catering and front of house services for prestigious head quarter business & industry and commercial contracts.

She plays a pivotal role in the strategic development and innovation within Lexington, and spearheaded the development and launch of LRS.

Emma Langford, People Manager
Emma Langford, People Manager

Emma joined Lexington in 2013 to fulfil the first dedicated HR role in the business. She is responsible for defining staff culture, developing future talent and setting people strategy. But most importantly, she looks after the Lexy Community!

She is recognised as one of the brightest stars in the hospitality industry and was awarded with an Acorn Award in 2014. Emma is committed to promoting the hospitality industry, she regularly speaks at industry related events and is a member of Springboard’s INSPIRE Action Group.

Emma has a real passion for tasty food, excellent service and people. In her words, “This is the perfect industry to work in.”

Nick Liddle, Sales Director
Nick Liddle, Sales Director

Nick is predominantly responsible for identifying and targeting new business opportunities and managing our tender processes. He works in partnership with clients and consultants to ensure our offer meets their needs.

After working in restaurants and bars for eight years, Nick joined Lexington at Catering Manager in 2007. He quickly worked his way up through the operations team.

In 2015, Nick moved into sales and has been busy applying his knowledge of Lexington and operations to find the best solution for any prospective Lexington client.
