With over 30 years of cooking experience, having worked in the finest hotels and restaurants in the UK and abroad, Rob ensures that great food remains at the very heart of Lexington. He works with the Lexy team to deliver fresh, simple, seasonal and tasty well-sourced dishes.

Winner of the first 2013 Foodservice Catey’s for ‘Chef of the Year’, Rob regularly appears on BBC television and radio showing the nation how to cook. He is also an award-winning author of ‘Cook with Kids’ and ‘The Family Kitchen’ and shared the royalties with The Children’s Hospital School at Great Ormond Street.

He believes food can bring lots of fun and enjoyment to people and works with schools to inspire young people to spend more time in the kitchen. In 2011, he partnered with the University of West London and Springboard UK, to design a two year Lexington apprenticeship programme, Lex School of Talent.

Murray joined Lexington in 2006 and has been the driving force behind our apprenticeship programme, Lex School of Talent, making it the success it is today.

He has over 20 years’ experience managing food teams, across a range of organisations, to ensure they deliver tasty food and excellent service.

As well as playing a huge role in mobilisation activity, overseeing the work of our teams, Murray is responsible for organising all of our training and development for chefs.

He works with our suppliers and external training providers to ensure our team have the skills they need to be the best.

Murray also organises our activities in local schools to inspire young people to spend time in the kitchen and oversees our work with Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Foundation.

Jon started out as a chef over twenty years ago and has led the kitchen teams of some of the biggest staff catering sites in London. His experience working across many of our sites created a framework for the innovation and development in his role as Group Development Chef, leading the food team.

Jon ensures we continue to innovate and lead the way when it comes to providing fresh and tasty food to people at work. He works closely with our existing sites and sales team to ensure our offer continues to meet each client’s needs.

He has played a huge role in helping the business attract and retain talented chefs, having coached over 20 chefs through his kitchen into more senior roles across Lexington. In addition to inspiring our chefs through organising chef forums, supporting our apprentice programme and managing events, he has also invested a considerable amount of time to drive sustainability across the business.

Alex Rowe, Development Chef

Alex is responsible for new and existing staff restaurant openings and menu development, with a particular focus on creating new dishes for our award wining Grains&Greens range.

As well as supporting all of our sites with the introduction of new concepts and innovation Alex mentors other chefs within the business and helps run our Chef School, which trains ten aspiring chefs every year.

In a career spanning over 20 years, Alex has worked for a range of organisations. He started his chef career working in high profile restaurants and after a few years decided he wanted a change, moving into an organisation where he had more freedom to experiment with ideas and create new concepts.

Alex joined Lexington in 2011. It was clear from the start he was someone who could turn amazing ideas into reality and in 2016 he was promoted to Development Chef.

Sam Potter, Hospitality Development Chef

Sam has worked with Lexington for over ten years and is responsible for organising all of our hospitality training and managing special client events across our business. As Hospitality Development Chef he oversees all hospitality menus, everything from a small sandwich lunch to a 300-person sit down dinner and exclusive VIP events.

He focuses on creating memorable experiences for our clients by driving innovation and making sure our hospitality offering remains leading edge. Sam develops new menu offerings that include fresh and seasonal produce, and reflect our dedication to use as much local ingredients as possible.

He has a wealth of experience gained from some of the best restaurants in the South East of England. These include Chewton Gleb, a 5 star luxury country house hotel in Hampshire, and The Fat Duck, Heston Blumenthal’s three Michelin star restaurant, which was given the title of Restaurant of the Year.

Stephanie Lykourgou, Food Development Assistant

Stephanie became food development assistant in January 2016, supporting the wider food team in the development process for various projects. She supports the development of new healthy concepts, with a particular focus on Grains&Greens, our vegetarian range, Free From products and Let’s Energise menus.

She liaises with the food team, individual client sites and marketing, to ensure specifications are drawn up correctly and costs are accurate, briefing on requirements and directing amendments as appropriate following feedback from customers and colleagues.

Stephanie also manages all of the launches across our sites, focusing on making sure our customers are aware why we’ve launch new concepts and the possible health benefits.

Stephanie has a particular passion for developing healthy food that tastes delicious and meets customer’s needs. She is currently doing a degree in Food Science and Development at Westminster Kingsway certified by Southbank University, which will see her become a fully qualified nutritionist.

Liz Tucker, Nutritionalist

MSc, BSc Hons, BA Hons, MBANT, MNSc, MhP, AdDip Nutritional Medicine

Liz Tucker is a Nutrition and Health Consultant promoting better health by encouraging healthier lifestyle and diet options. Liz works closely with Lexington to improve and develop healthier products for customers.

She has extensive experience in food and nutritional labelling and works with the Lexington development team, providing all nutritional information to ensure the Let’s Energise and Vitalicious Juice range is both tasty and healthy.
