Emma Langford, People Manager, at Lexington was interviewed by Jenny Roper, Assistant Editor at HR Magazine.
She talks about what works for Lexington and how to best formalise HR in an already people-centred business.
Emma says, “Its important to empower managers to get involved with a lot of HR-related activity – they are the implementers so making sure they have the tools to do this has been key.
“It’s important not to introduce lots of lovely things like reward and recognition without getting people up to speed on basic HR processes first. Managers know I’m there for support but they know how to own the processes too.”
