Lexington Catering are a multi-award winning hospitality company seeking applications from talented HR professionals to come and join our team as HR/People Manager at our head offices in Cheapside, London.
The role of People Manager will have key responsibility for overseeing all HR activity for our Lexington business and Elior London sites within Business & Industry, which equates to approximately 1500 staff across 150 locations.
This is a high profile role where no two days will be the same – from talent management to L&D, project management to employee relations, this is a truly varied and generalist role. Based at our London headquarters, you’ll be supporting our London Leadership team and senior stakeholders across the business but you’ll also be a key part of our central HR team.
You’ll be the central driving force for the London business across all aspects of the people strategy, so we’re looking for strong characters with initiative and creativity to drive innovation, tenacity to make things happen, guide & influence senior operators and evolve our engagement and L&D initiatives to ensure we retain top talent.
Your key accountabilities in this role will be:
The Management of the annual appraisals & mid-year review process through our online system, including analysis of results to identify and manage talent
Overseeing the Lexington Graduate Scheme
Facilitating our engagement forum, the One Team Talk
Organising the annual ‘Champions’ recognition scheme
Chairing bi-monthly People / Succession Meetings with operators
Organising & overseeing development programmes which include our Mentoring Programmes, Supervisor Development Programme & Aspiring Leadership Programme and developing the training calendar, addressing specific training needs
Deliver monthly HR Bite Size training sessions
Oversee internal communications, which includes our intranet & employee app.
Manage engagement initiatives such as “The Bold Idea”, long service awards and our engagement surveys etc.
Organise the annual One Team Star Awards.
Present the people strategy / focus areas at the annual One Team conference.
Continue to innovate and consider new initiatives to drive engagement, embed the values & nurture a culture of fun and inclusivity.
Work closely with our Directors to ensure HR activity is aligned with business objectives & strategy.
Support the HR Director and Head of HR in developing and implementing Elior UK HR initiatives & Group strategy.
Advise on more complex employee relations issues & manage tribunal claims.
Provide support in regard to HR policy compliance, procedures & best practice.
Work alongside operators & sales to manage TUPE mobilisations & de-mobilisations.
Create monthly HR report to track key statistics & identify trends.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience
– Qualified to Degree level
– CIPD qualified – to level 5 ideally
– Experience in TUPE
– Experience in working within multi-site businesses
– Strong experience of working as a lone manager in a generalist HR role.
– Ideally looking for candidate with knowledge of retail or hospitality.
– Strong IT skills
The successful candidate will receive a starting salary of up to £60,000 dependant on experience, plus a travel card for zones 1 and 2.
