- Provide General Manager and clients with information and support in development of long term plans
- Set measurable objectives periodically for all managers, supervisors and team
- Converse with the General Manager and Client to plan and implement service layouts

- Provide financial analyses of current operations and future plans
- Monitor deviations from budget and take corrective action to meet established goals
Operational Skills
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws: business licenses, permits, health regulations, labour laws, etc
- Support the General Manager in ensuring that budgeted financial requirements are fulfilled to both the client and company satisfaction.
- Ensuring that all policies and procedural requirements of legislation, client and company are adhered to.
- Ensure that administration is maintained to the highest standards on a consistent basis by supporting the General Manager and covering in their absence
- To oversee the efficient running of the 1st floor, Training Room Suites, Partners Dining Room, onsite Events, the occasional off-site event, Staff Restaurant, Pantries and overseeing the client owned wine stores, fostering a one-team attitude across all departments.
- Ensure that effective quality of service is provided to the standard of the client, customers and company.
- Ensure the highest standards of presentation and cleanliness of all front of house areas and equipment
- Flexibility to cover evening Functions/Events and assist with the occasional weekend Events when required
- Attend meeting with stakeholders in various department to ensure smooth running of all functions and events
- Work closely with the Management Team to deliver the overall standards and expectations of the company and Clients.
Marketing Skills
- Work with staff to develop and project Lexington’s public image
- Work with staff to create and maintain coherent Lexington image
Human Resources Skills
- Ensure development of policies that are cost-effective, equitable and legal
- Ensure orientations and on-the-job training for all staff
- Ensure timely evaluations for all staff, based on written job descriptions and performance standards
- Ensure a safe, healthy workplace for employees
- Establish channels for employee input and recognition
- Ensure planning for staff development to retain and promote qualified employees
Miscellaneous Skills
- Perform other tasks assigned by the General Manager
- Organise Management and Team meetings
Qualifications/Experience
- Ability to work independently under the general direction of the General Manager and Lexington directors
- Successful experience as a Deputy General Manager in a hospitality environment
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Demonstrated initiative, leadership ability
- Ability to handle multiple demands
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments
- Supervisory experience: hiring, training, evaluating, redundancies
- Knowledge of current trends in the natural foods industry
- Ability to interpret financial statements
- Willingness and ability to learn to meet the changing requirements of the job
- Experience leading business or organization through times of expansion and growth
- Ability to work within team setting
- Computer proficiency
Professional Requirements
- Minimum 2 year supervisory experience in a high-quality corporate or 5* hotel hospitality environment
