The summer holidays are here and the City has gone into quiet mode. This means getting a train seat in the morning without the usual wrestling match… Absolute bliss!
My food team are having some well-deserved holidays with their families and chilling out before we start the busy season all over again. On the horizon, we have the launch of our new healthy eating brand, Blend, hitting our multidecks in September. The range is all about simplifying healthy eating for our customs; making it the tastiest, and easiest, it can be.
Now’s the time to dust off your BBQ and get the family outside to enjoy some quality time together. For a quick kick to your BBQ try mixing a tablespoon of smoked paprika, rock salt, English mustard powder and cayenne together, sprinkle on any meat before they hit the hot grill for a quick but tasty seasoning.
Whatever you do I urge you to make the most of the summer break. Enjoy the sunshine days, along with the rainy ones and I look forward to checking back in with you during September when we launch our annual Lex Chef competition. I can’t wait to see what tricks our chefs have up their sleeves!
