And off we go! October is here already and our Chefs are busy competing for this year’s 10th Lex Chef final, billed to be the best yet! There will be a clash of the titans with our ‘Omelette Challenge’ and the very bold move of a vegetarian main course to challenge our finest chefs.
This month brings with it warm hearty dishes, slow cooked with dollops of creamy mash potato, perfect for autumn evenings cuddled up with a nice bottle of red wine.
Be sure to try my recipe for Coq au Vin which I made only last Saturday night, it totally wraps its arms around you and is a true hero after a day in the garden sweeping the autumnal leaves.
The silly season is also coming at us and the food team are busy looking at alternative Christmas ideas for our restaurants, that includes grab and go, so watch out!
