Wow – thank goodness Christmas is well and truly done!
Every year we spend six weeks leading up to it and then a week or two celebrating it and by the end of it all we’re well and truly ready for some normality to return and to get back amongst it!
And amongst it we are! A crazy, busy and mad start to the year as we relaunch our multi-award winning Let’s Energise and Vitalicious ranges and get our brand new Free From bakery range into the business. Plus we’re developing an exciting new healthy eating range which the guys are working away on as I type! Watch this space…
We’re well and truly into winter now; with the short days and cold nip in the air meaning it’s comfort eating all the way. Slow braised stews and roasted root vegetables are delicious with creamy mash and King cabbage mmmmm…… Watch out for forced rhubarb and those beautiful ruby red blood oranges that will start putting in an appearance, adding a vibrant splash of colour to our kitchens and homes.
We are getting ready for the Galvin and Lexington Challenge Cup for our apprentices, which launches with a competition exclusively at Hotelympia Excel London late February. All very exciting and being able to bring on the next generation of superstars is a really lovely and rewarding part of the job.
That just leaves me to say ‘have a great month’. Eat healthy throughout the week but at weekends indulge in that love affair of comfort food with stews, pot roasts, pies and Sunday roasts; the best of British produce is waiting to be slow cooked!
