Winding down for the festive season

So, this is Christmas to coin a song!

WOW! 10 years of LexChef and we opened the evening with an omelette challenge, which included eight of our LexChef finalists from previous years, (who are still in the company!) whisking up a storm of omelettes/scrambled eggs in minutes.

But the biggest news from LexChef in its ten-year history is that a Chef de Partie won it for the first time, racing ahead of Head Chefs and Sous Chefs! The standard was amazing and I was so proud of them all. It’s so nice to see the next generation of Chefs coming through, with past winners supporting and helping them through the competition, it truly embodies everything we stand for.

All our Chefs are busy on the jump this month and we are getting around all our restaurants and spreading Christmas cheer and love. This month is obviously all about turkey and all the trimmings, by the time Christmas day comes I have seen enough! However, there is nothing like sitting around the table with family, warmth and great banter, I can’t wait!

I hope you all have a lovely well-deserved rest, this is the month to go for it and I’ll see you for a detox in January.
